Well the Teeth-shattering, Sweat dripping season is upon us... It's Exam Season! Good luck to all of you currently enduring the stress. We've got a couple of things going on in and around the SU that should hopefully offer a stress free/celebration hub for all of you! But first how's a bit of SU news... News... Elections It seems like a lifetime away now but the Elections are over and what a busy few months we've had here... thank goodness for the Easter break. Thanks for your support.. here's the results Executive Election Results 2014 President - Carys Rhiannon Vice President Cardiff - Rozi Green-Innes Vice President Newport - Drew Burman Vice President Pontypridd - Ellen Jones The new officers will take up office on the 1st July 2014. Thanks to everyone who voted in this year's Elections and came down to the Election Results Night. Big thanks to The University for their support, promoting, hosting and authenticating voters. The S.T.A.R awards The support, teaching and research awards have been set up and nominations are live. You can now nominate your lecturers/university staff/SVR's/StudentCouncilOfficers for an award! Give us a follow ... @USW_SU Students' Union Review We're working hard with the Union/University review group to produce a paper by the end of May/early June. This paper will contain suggestions for the services provided by the Union, The financial needs of the Union and suggestions based on the core values of the students' union. This paper will then be considered by trustee board and the University to go forward for implementation.    Confrence A number of our Student Council Representatives attended various conferences over the last few months. One student representative who was last year chosen as NUS Wales's LGBT+ Officer - Rhodri Roberts opened this years NUS Wales LGBT+ conference.
